Clarivia Disclaimers

IMPORTANT: CLARIVIA'S PLATFORM IS NOT INTENDED FOR EMERGENCY USE. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, SEEK IMMEDIATE IN-PERSON MEDICAL ATTENTION OR CALL 911.

Communications: Clarivia LLC ("Clarivia") may send you email or text message (including SMS) correspondence containing details of your consultation, treatment plan, prescription status, and shipment information, provided you consent to receive such communications. Please note that your mobile carrier may charge fees for text messages, and Clarivia is not responsible for any such charges.

Scope of Services: The medical services provided through the Clarivia platform are strictly limited to the assessment and potential treatment of toenail fungus (onychomycosis). The licensed medical providers utilizing the platform do not provide comprehensive dermatological care, general medical services, or screening for other conditions.

No Replacement for Existing Care: Clarivia does not replace your existing relationship with your primary care provider, podiatrist, dermatologist, or other in-person healthcare providers. It is important to maintain these relationships for your overall health and for conditions unrelated to toenail fungus.

Not an Insurance Product: Clarivia is not an insurance product. Services may or may not be covered by your health insurance plan. Payment is typically collected directly from the patient.

State Availability: Clarivia operates subject to state telehealth regulations and may not be available in all states. Service availability is dependent on your state of residence at the time of consultation.

No Guarantee of Prescription: Utilizing the Clarivia platform does not guarantee that a prescription for medication will be written. The licensed medical providers exercise their independent professional judgment to determine the appropriateness of treatment for each individual based on their health history and assessment.

Compounded Medication: Clarivia prescriptions are typically for compounded medications, prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy partner. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved; this means the FDA does not review these specific formulations for safety, effectiveness, or quality. While the active ingredients used (Itraconazole, Terbinafine) are well-established, the compounded combination itself has not undergone large-scale clinical trials.

Potential Systemic Absorption: The Clarivia topical solution contains DMSO, an ingredient intended to enhance penetration through the nail. This may result in some systemic absorption of the active antifungal ingredients (Itraconazole and Terbinafine). Potential systemic side effects exist, similar to those associated with oral antifungal medications. A thorough review of your health history is essential. Please review the Important Safety Information page for detailed risks.

No Controlled Substances: The medical providers utilizing the Clarivia platform do not prescribe DEA controlled substances (e.g., opioids, certain stimulants, benzodiazepines).

Right to Deny Treatment: The licensed medical providers reserve the right to deny treatment if they believe a patient may be better served by an in-person evaluation (e.g., if the diagnosis is uncertain, the condition is too severe for topical treatment alone, or systemic treatment appears necessary), or for any other reason based on their professional medical judgment and assessment of patient safety.

Platform Provider vs. Medical Provider: Clarivia LLC provides the technology platform, administrative support, and coordination services to connect patients with independent, licensed medical providers. Clarivia LLC does not provide medical advice or services. All medical care, diagnoses, and prescriptions are provided solely by licensed medical providers contracted through independent physician networks or medical groups who exercise their own professional judgment.

No Guarantee of Results: While Clarivia is designed to treat toenail fungus, individual results may vary. Nail growth is a slow process, and visible improvement takes time. There is no guarantee of a cure or a specific cosmetic outcome.
